“Logistic” is a short video produced by Zaman University’s students, Chandevipha Hout and Kimleng Tang. This group won the 2nd place in the video contest known as “Career on Camera 2” on March 5th. The “Career on Camera” is a novel initiative Career Introductory Videos (CIVs) program organized by the Asia Foundation, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS). The program aims at addressing and responding to the challenge of Cambodian students in choosing a career in their lives. Many students are not aware of how to find necessary information to set their career goals, whereas many employers claim that it is hard for them to find qualified applicants that meet their companies’ requirements.

The members of the first runner-up team are both doing Business Administration at Zaman University. They are among the 30 students from 6 universities in Phnom Penh, who were voluntarily utilizing their own smartphones to produce these career videos. In the process, they all went through an ongoing training workshop, formed a team to produce the video, and then competed in a two-month long video contest. With a focus on STEM careers, the winning videos have to best portray Cambodians at work for a young audience, explain what each career involves and what educational preparation is required for entry-level positions in the industry they choose.
