In one of the biggest gatherings of the technical development community, about two hundred professionals and students gathered at Zaman University for the Khmer Coders Convention. This was the second such event aimed at Cambodia’s burgeoning tech-sector and designed to stimulate discussion and the sharing of new knowledge.
The event, co-sponsored by KhmerCoders Group and Zaman University, featured five speakers on various topics of current interest:
Ly Vandy, Deputy Manager, Deloitte (Cambodia): Application Security
Mike Gaertner, COO, Sabay Digital Corporation: Continuous Integration
Kak Soky, Research Coordinator, NITPICT: Khmer Speech to Speech Translation
Ly Channa, CTO, BookMeBus: Build Simple Yet Powerful API
Vannak Moremi, independent developer and student, Zaman University: Front-end Web Development with ELM
We have a vision for developing the first Cambodian coders community where diversity and collaboration are embraced. This convention is created for this purpose. It serves as a platform for us, developers, to learn, share and inspire each other to build better and secured tech products.
– Mr. Vitou Phy, Zaman University alumnus and organizer of Khmer Coders Convention
Khmer Coder Convention provides us a great opportunity to learn from industrial experts, and I have learnt a lot from this event. I think there should be more platforms like this in Cambodia.
– Mr. Narundet Srong, CTO of Spare Cambodia
